zMAX Dragway is a state-of-the-art drag facility located next to the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord. The dragway is known as the "Bellagio of drag strips" because of its modern design and top-tier amnenities. Opened in 2008, the zMAX is the first all concrete four-lane drag strip in the world. It hosts the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) races, including NHRA Four-Wide Nationals. The zMAX Dragway is considered one of the premeir drag racing venues in the world.
